 Sean
Combs has proved to be a great businessman, but he still
has trouble getting up early in the morning. Everyone knows
that I am a huge fan of P. Diddy and his laundry
list of accomplishments continue to be impressive. However,
he must operate on CP time. Diddy claims
traffic was the reason for his being late Monday at the New York
Stock Exchange, where he was to join executives involved with this
fragrance, in ringing the opening bell. Sean
was to have the honor of ringing the bell due to the overwhelming
success for Unforgivable. Terry Lundgren, Chairman, President
and Chief Executive Office, Federated Department Stores, Inc.; William
Lauder, President and Chief Executive Officer, The Estee Lauder
Companies; John Demsey, Global President Estee Lauder, M.A.C. Cosmetics
and Sean John Fragrances; and Diana Espino, General Manager and
Vice President, Sean John Fragrances were all waiting on the Badboy
himself. Diddy did finally make
it, however the market had already officially opened. Some
events will not wait, however this is another example of Hip Hop
becoming mainstream. |

 Well,
we can all get over it and accept the reality that Hip Hop’s
power couple is really splitting. Russel l
and Kimora Simmons have formally announced they
are separated. The details and rumors are coming to the surface
that the couple lives in isolated wing of the 10-bedroom mansion
in Saddle River, NJ. It has been said that their bedrooms
where so far apart they never saw each other anyway. Russell
is not denying his dating Denise Vasi ,
which has been described as a cinnamon skinned young beauty.
Russell was tacky enough to have his new girl
on his arm a couple of times in public, last Thursday to be exact
while attending the G-Spa club in the  Hotel
Dansevoort and at the “Coke Side of Life” launch party
at Capitale in New York. It is rumored that Kimora
is not taking her soon to be ex-husband making his new
love interest public lightly, but she is meeting him head on and
is said to be seeing New York Knicks guard Stephon
Marbury . They were seen at New York’s Scores
West partying until 4:30 am last week. Last I checked Stephon
was married, but thing change. Rumor has it that
Kimora is making more than Russell
due to her growing the Baby Phat, the female line of Phat Farm.
The two met when Kimora was only 17 and
Russell still likes them young, I hear Denise
is 23-years-old. Russ is old enough to be her daddy,
but I guess he is. Allegedly Russell told Kimora that he was having a relationship with the Dominican video vixen, Denise Vasi , and added that the separation boils down to his being smothered by Kimora . “I work with her 14 hours a day. The question is, do we want to be together 24 hours a day? We are making a space and taking some time, but we are best friends. We are still going to have our media interests and our fashion interests, I am producing her reality show, and we are raising our children together. From what the public sees, there’s absolutely no change.” Based on this quote it clear that Russell is in for a rude awakening, he is a fool if he thinks he is going to be able to parade his new chick around and Kimora not make him pay. The reality show might be on him now, we have seen Kimora in action and she can be one tough cookie. I thought when you are in love you desire to be around your love all the time. Well, that is not true for Russell . |

 Drug
Dealers and Killer Strike Again… The
saga of Death Row Records continues as the label’s founder
Marion “Suge” Knight is seeking bankruptcy
protection for himself and the pioneering record label. Knight’s
lawyer Lawrence Strick told the press that the rap mogul
was filing bankruptcy protection in an attempt to reorganize his
financial affairs. Death Row is also at the center of this
long legal battle between Knight and incarcerated
drug dealer Michael “Harry-O” Harris and his ex-wife
Lydia Harris. Michael is currently serving a 28-year sentence
in San Quentin prison, claims he invested $1.5 million in the label
through Knight’s attorney David Kenner. In
March 2005, Suge was ordered to pay Mrs. Harris
$107 million because  Knight
failed to show up to numerous court proceeding to disclose
his assets. Clearly Suge has not learned
his lesson or he just does not give a damn due to his missing a
court date this past Saturday. “ Mr. Knight
does not have 107 million dollars,” Strick said.
“It remains to be seen what becomes of Death Row.”
If Suge lives up to his past reputation
Mrs. Harris may not be alive to collect her cash. Knight
has a reputation to get rid of those that cross him like
one Tupac Shakur . Suge
is lying if he says he cannot come up with the hunk and chunk of
money he owes this dope dealing investor, he must have been happy
when he got locked up. However, Knight was
in for a rude awaking when the ex-wife won. The label owns
a catalog of multi platinum albums form Dr. Dre ,
Tha Dogg Pound , Snoop Dogg ,
and Tupac Shakur , the best selling rapper of all
time. Knight’s filing for bankruptcy
protection temporarily prevents Suge from losing
ownership of his label. Suge was warned
that if he missed his last court date his label would be placed
into receivership by the court. It remains too been seen what
Suge “Killer” Knight does. |

 Three
6 Mafia were presented with
a number of honors last week in their hometown of Memphis, Tennessee,
including the Key to the City, and a spot on the Memphis version
of Hollywood’s Walk of Fame. “ It’s
Hard Out Here For A Pimp ,” Mayor
Willie W. Herenton , who has a bastard child at 62 by his
30 year-old ex-girlfriend, presented Three 6 Mafia
with the Key to The City of Memphis for receiving the Oscar for
Best Original Song, which is featured on the sound track to 2005’s
“ Hustle & Flow .” The
group was also presented with the prestigious “Note on Beal
Street,” the Memphis version of a star on Hollywood Boulevard,
during a special red carpet reception at the Memphis Rock ‘N’
Soul Museum. Memphis is known for the blues and Rock ‘N’
Roll, Three 6 Mafia became the first “Note
on Beale Street” to represent hip hop. |

 Busta
Rhymes cannot get a break
these days. First he was in the news due to his bodyguard
getting killed while taking a bullet that was meant for him. Then
Busta was close to going to jail for not telling
the police what he knew about the shooting. Last week Busta
Rhymes was all over the press for his going off on an
allegedly gay man that tapped him on the shoulder and asked for
an autograph. The latest in Busta Rhymes
news is while he and David Mays were at
the Miami night club Opium when a member of Busta’s
entourage allegedly him Mays over the head with a liquor
bottle. According to reports, Mays was treated
at a local hospital, where he received close to 50 stitches. Supposedly
Dave made a comment on The Star & Buckwild
Morning Show on New York’s Power 105.1, however, Dave
Mays was very supportive of Busta during
his days at The Source Magazine .
Busta was on the magazine cover 3 times and Busta
hosted one of the magazine’s award shows. Chris
Lightly, CEO of Violator, which handles the career of Busta
Rhymes , confirmed that an altercation did occur and Mays
has not and will not press charges against Busta
Rhymes . However, Lightly is denying that Busta
Rhymes verbally attacked a gay fan last week who was attempting
to get an autograph. Rhymes allegedly yelled
at the man as he was leaving the 11th Street Diner in South Beach,
and allegedly said, “I hate f**king faggots, man!” Well,
how did he know the man was a homosexual in the first place?
Busta might need to chill for a minute and get
himself together. The word is he is trying to prove he is
a hard tough guy. Mays will most likely
get a hunk and a chuck of money for getting the sh*t knocked out
of him by one of Busta’s associates. |

Raising Hell … Star Jones Reynolds ,
took it a little too far for me when she showed what size bra she
wore prior to her weight lose and breast reduction. It had
to be one of the tackiest and most vulgar things I have seen in
a long time. Star the world is happy for
your getting married, loosing weight, and your success. However,
when is it enough for you? Get over yourself and continue
to focus on doing a good job. The 44-year-old talk show co-host
seems to have a great deal of self-esteem issues that she still
suffers with and causes her to continue to behave in these most
recent unbecoming ways. Additionally, someone needs to remind
Star that she does not have to change her weave
everyday. One morning Star might have a
nice shoulder length look and the very next day it will be down
to her waist. Mary J. Blige is doing it
up big for her video for “ Enough Crying ,”
song on her latest project. Hype Williams
will recreate one of the lowest moments in her life, which was the
inspiration for the song. The Queen of Hip Hop recently filmed
a scene that involved her ex-boyfriend K-Ci Hailey —represented
in the video by, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson .
Naomi Campbell issued a statement denying
that she had anything to do with her maid, 42-year-old Ana Scolavino.
However, she did admit that she became irritated that she
could not find a pair of $200 jeans. Naomi
has a maid for each floor of her $3.4 million Park Avenue apartment.
Well, I would hate for her to really get angry about something
that was worth a lot of money. What supermodel kicks ass over
$200 dollars? Naomi Campbell is beautiful,
but obviously has some very ugly ways. |

Diddy
has that magic touch. He may not be rapping right now, but
it seems that it does not matter much. Sean Combs
fragrance, Unforgivable has been the number one selling
fragrance for men since hitting the stores in February. Reports
say the fragrance has been racking in over $1 million a week in
sales and a representative for Sean John Fragrances, a division
of Estee Lauder, stated Unforgivable exceeded sales projections
by over 200%. Diddy’s success has
not been met without controversy due to ads featuring the Hip
Hop mogul sitting on a bed with two women were banned from various
department stores around the nation due to their suggestive nature.
“When we set out to create this fragrance, I wanted
to revolutionize this industry and mission accomplished,”
said Sean.
According
To My “ Street Committee ”…The
word is out that T-Boz of TLC
is going with Takeo Spikes of the Buffalo
Billis (you can watch my interview with him on the red
carpet at the Trumpet Awards and see what he has to say for your
self). It is no secret they are going together; I recently
saw them coupled up at an Atlanta Hawks game.
I hear that T-Boz had on a huge rock that
was an engagement ring at an event in Atlanta. However,
it seems that Mack-10 may not be totally out
to the picture yet. Takeo has been married
and it now divorced. 
Knicks . The word is that the two were doing some
dirty dancing and hard girding on each other until the wee hours
of the morning. Stephon and Kimora
left the event together and may have continued what
they started at home. Purportedly Ice Cube
is preparing the last and potentially biggest finale of any movie
squeal. The final film to the series will be called “Last
Friday” and is suppose to have an all star cast. Not
sure if this is reality, but I will keep you posted. What
is wrong with Marlon Wayans ? The comedian
has launched a new comic book series “ Super
Bad James Dynomite ,” the youngest of 10 children
he never could afford to purchase comic books of his own, but
now he has enough money to start one himself. Recently in an interview
with BlackVoices Marlon Wayans shared one of
the most disgusting things I have ever heard. The youngest
Wayans Brother said anything that was paper
in his house he and his family used it to wipe their ass. According
to Marlon Wayans his family was to poor to afford
to buy toilet paper so they would use whatever they could find
in place of it. All journalist love to get and exclusive
with any celebrity they interview, but this takes the cake. I
do not care how true it was Marlon that was
filthy, disgusting, and tacky for you to share such as personal
and unfortunate reality for you and your family.
