| better actor than what he started. Not sure if it was his nerves that caused him to rush through some of his lines and chew up his words several times. Where Usher lacks in acting ability he makes up for it with his singing and especially his dancing. The Hip Hop crooner taps for the first time in the classic musical and truly lives up to the reputation of being the Michael Jackson of our day. Like the weak voice, shy, poor acting Michael in " The Wiz ," he made up for his poor performance with his singing and dancing. Surely this is the best school Usher to perfect his acting. A few visits with the coach that P. Diddy used when he was on Broadway starring in " A Raisin In The Sun ," would do Usher some good. The energy of a live audience will push him into perfection. The singer said music and theater are his two loves and described them in this fashion, "I think music is like a monogamous relationship. Acting in theater is like a different woman every night," according to Usher's philosophy; I am happy to be on Broadway singing and dancing. I enjoy it." If you are in the New York you would do yourself an injustice not to see Usher Raymond in " Chicago ." | |||||

 What
happened to Serena ? Talking about poor performances,
the Former U.S. Open Champion did not live up to past titles.
Recently, she has not seemed to have been in the game. Having
slid so far behind in the rankings she did not compete in the tournament.
Serena has too much in common with the great disappointment
of the 90's ice skating champion Debbie Thomas ,
who got married while training for the Winter Olympics.
The athletes mind was not on the game and she only walked away with
a bronze medal when Debbie was capable of doing
far better. Serena is going to have to get
her mind back on the game if she is going to continue. Yes, her
injuries have caused some setbacks, but clearly is not the total
culprit for her loosing. Tiger Woods sure
made up for the lack of Serena not going to the
U.S. Open with his unstoppable wins. Now you know Tiger
has made some poor choices in this personal life, but
he sure has a God given gift to play some golf. Sinking a
8-foot putt on the fourth playoff hole to beat Stewart Cink
at the Bidgestone Invitational. Tiger
has taken home five straight titles this season.
He started out rough, but some how he got hot and has been on fire

 Obnoxious
learned that former Dallas Cowboys running
back Emmitt Smith visited his old stomping grounds
at the team's training camp. It was no coincidence that he
showed up on the same day that T.O. was due back
to practice from an injury. Smith said that
he is glad that wide receiver is with Dallas. "I am
happy he's a Cowboy . I'd rather have him
on our side than trying to defend him," Smith
said. "You've got a great talent, a great athlete. I'm
happy for the Cowboys ." T.O.
has been a major block to the Cowboys in the past
and Smith acknowledged that he was a stopper and
with him on the team it should make the difference with Dallas going
to the Super bowl. Emmitt is following in Jerry
Rice's footsteps and is going to be on this season's "
Dancing with the Stars ." He is
paired with professional dancer Chery Burke , who
won last season's competition as the teammate of Drew Lachey
. "She tells me to go again and again and again,
similar to coach telling me to run it again and again," Smith
said. "It's fun, something new and challenging,
very challenging for me, and hopefully, we will win." |

Ross is Miami's underground rap king that has made it to the top on his long awaited major label debut, " Port of Miami ." Rick offers something new and refreshing to an established sound. The massive voice accurately complements the features of the rapper with a hot beat, like the ones Elton John is looking for to be a part of his upcoming project. Rick Ross deserves to take a bow; he has worked long and hard for this honor. |

Raising Hell ... Grace Jones has been
out of the lime light for quite sometime now to only quickly become
the talk of the town again. The singer/actress made headlines
after the landlord of her former apartment in London accused her
of trashing the place before skipping out on $10,000 in rent.
According to reports the 58-year-old Jamaican born entertainer caused
$31,000 in damages to the $2.5 million, two-bedroom flat.
One of her neighbors was actor Michael Caine .
The owners say that Jones left the loft behind
with missing fixtures or broken, objects soiled by cigarette smoke,
and blackened cutlery. They also claim they were forced to
change the locks after Jones failed to turn in
the keys. However, Jones camp denies the
accusations and prior to deadline Obnoxious was
unable to find any court filings against Grace Jones
by the owner. The entertainer is also the twin sister of Bishop
Noel Jones . The brother and sister seem to be like
night and day. Grace has always been known
for her eccentric behavior and bad temper, which leads one to believe
the owner. |

Dealers and Killers Strike Again ...Rapper Beaniel
Sigel is having trouble convincing cops in Philadelphia
that he was indeed robbed and shot by assailants last May near his
home where he grew up. "No one believes him. We don't
believe he was shot where he said he was shot," Detective Tracy
Byard told the Philadelphia Daily News .
"There's a million and one holes in his story." Sigel
, born Dwight Grant , told police that
on May 25 he was boxed in by two vehicles and surrounded by several
men who took off with his watch, his $75,000 chain and $3,000 in
cash. Sigel said the thieves shot him in
the shoulder. However, police said there were no shell casings
present in the area and no one witnessed the shooting or heard any
gunshots. "We knocked on at least 30 doors in that area, and
no one heard a thing," Byard said. Allegedly Beaniel
gave a hard time to investigators when they tried to photograph
his wound and question his story. Fortunato Perri Jr., Beaniel
Sigel's attorney, feels the police are having a hard time
believing his thug for a client due to his past criminal record.
"My getting shot and somebody robbing me! Negative."
Segel said during " The Aphilliates:
The Streetz Is Watchin' ," a weekly Hip Hop how.
"I am on federal parole, so I can't get into details, but give me
another nine months and I will tell y'all exactly what the deal
was." Seems that it is far more to this extremely suspicious
story than what Sigel is willing to share.

 Former
NBA Basketball player Lonny Baxter was arrested
in Washington D.C. early in the morning for allegedly firing shots
from a vehicle two blocks away from the White House. The 27-year-old
former Charlotte Bobcat was arrested at about
2:30 am. When a bystander flagged down Secret Service and said gunfire
was coming from a white SUV. Baxter was
behind the wheel, driving near the intersection of 17th and I streets
in Northwest. "There were spent shell casings in plain view
inside the vehicle. Officers searching the vehicle also recovered
a handgun. The Secret Service charged Baxter
and his passenger Irvin Martin, 35, with carrying a handgun without
a license and other firearms charges. It wasn't immediately
clear why they were allegedly firing the gun like a couple of dumb
ass fools. |

Clarett turned out to be a little gangster.
The jailed former Ohio State running back, was sent a threatening
message Monday that was typed on a piece of paper, cut out and taped
on a postcard, said one of his attorneys. "We do not know
quite what to make of it. It is very cryptic. Clarett
has been the recipient of threats before, but none have
been as severe as this one. His attorney would not comment
on the contents of the letter, sent from Los Angeles and received
Monday. Clarett was arrested for following
a police near the home of a woman set to testify against him in
a January robbery trial. Four loaded guns were found in his
sport utility vehicle, and the police said they had to use pepper
spray to subdue him because he was wearing a bullet-proof vest that
thwarted their stun guns. Seems Clarett
was serious about doing some major damage to the witness and now
that he is in jail he is scared that someone would hurt or harm

to recent reports NBA bulky forward Jackie Butler might
be a thief. Purportedly the Jackie
met a woman at Jay-Z's 40/40 Club a while back
when he was playing for the New York Knicks , since
he has been traded to the San Antonio Spurs , met
and was taken by a young lady. The two of them went back to
his place for drinks and conversation. The young lady goes
on to say that he began to get aggressive. She should have
never gone over to his house in the first place. One thing
lead to another and after countless requests she agreed to have
sex with him and according to her it was a HORRIBLE experience.
It was not until the she got home that she realized that she left
her $600 jacket in Butler's car. Butler
is said to have refused to return the jacket and stopped
taking the calls from the woman he had a one night stand with.
Last Obnoxious heard Butler
never returned the jacket and the Spurs refused to comment on the

has it that Kelis , the wife of rap star Nas
, was acting very single when she was out not long ago.
At a recent party in New York Kelis was out on
the town without her husband and she had a good time. An all
seeing eye that was in the same club as Kelis ,
witnessed her dancing with three men. The guys are said to
have looked like strippers and were on her like white on rice.
After dancing the men accompanied her to the VIP section and later
left with Kelis in a black SUV that speed away.
Obnoxious has not learned of any plans for the
couple to part ways anytime soon. |

has been reported that Bobby Brown has moved in
with Karrien "Superhead" Steffans , the author
of the tell all " Confessions of a Video Vixen "
detailing her sexual exploits with various men in the industry,
including Bobby Brown . Allegedly the husband
of Whitney Houston has been living with Superhead
for the past month. Now the rumor gets a little
juicier; Obnoxious has been informed
that the two of them have been seen together at Grove shopping mall
in Los Angeles along with Bobby's children.
The new couple also caught eyes at the private club Xenii.
It has been stated that Karrien had been hanging
out with Brown to discuss his assisting her getting
a reality television show. Well, we will have to wait and
see what comes of this one. The separation might be good for
Whitney , if it is not already too late. |

Beyonce' is not going to marry old man Jay-Z , although she might have to think twice after his million dollar birthday gift. The rapper born Sean Carter purchased his girlfriend an antique Rolls Royce. Obnoxious was informed that only two of them are left in the world and one now belongs to Beyonce' . However, she is still not ready to get married. Knowles recently turned 25-years-old and is not thinking about marriage right now.
P. Diddy has made the official announcement that his long time girlfriend Kim Porter is expecting twins. Still no date on when he will give her his name, but as for now she will be giving him two more children, which means that if he remains consistent with the $30,000 he is paying her a month in child support Kim might soon be receiving $90,000 a month from Sean . It might be time to say I do if he is going to have to pay a hunk and a chunk like that each month.

on Broadway in " Chicago ," got so much
fuss opening that I had to see for myself. A number of stars
turned out to see the lady's man live on stage in the flashy role
of Billy Flynn. Penelope Cruz , Phylicia

Union are just a few of the names that have been dropped
thus far not to mention the number of screaming women in the cheap
seats every night pack the Ambassador Theater. "He's got
charm for days," Union said. "If any man
can charm a woman out of her jail cell and out of her clothes,
it's Usher ." Broadway veteran Phylicia
Rashad said that Usher has the best
stuff for the role and it was well suited for him. The 27-year-old
Grammy Award winning singer will have a six week run in the musical
and will hopefully become a

Hip Hop collaborations. He teamed up with the Queen of Hip
Hop Mary J. Blige in 1999 on " Deep
Inside ." Elton John says
he is now looking to join forces with the best producers in the
business of Hip Hop for his latest opus. "I want to work
with Pharrell , Timbaland ,
Snoop , Kanye , Eminem
, and just see what happens. It may be a disaster
or it could be fantastic, but you do not know until you try."
The 59-year-old singer has also teamed up with Eminem
, as the surprise piano player for the rapper's performance
of " Stan " at the 2001 Grammy Awards.
John shared with Rolling Stone Magazine
that he is a fan of " No Diggity "
and Tupac Shakur's " California
Love ." Now that the word is out his phone
will be ringing off the hook or perhaps not. Not
long ago Pharrell denied Elton
John and his husband entry to a Louis Vuitton
party celebrating the rapper/producers endorsement deal.
According to reports Elton was greatly offended
and threatened to call the House of Vuitton
and complain about Pharrell's rude behavior
towards him and his husband. Purportedly Pharrell
felt it was already too many men, especially to many
gay men at the party for his taste. Now Elton says
he wants to get some beats from the talented producer. Pharrell
is a great producer, but he leaves a great deal to be
desired as a rapper. It will be interesting to see what
becomes of Elton John's request. "I want
to bring my songs and melodies to Hip Hop beats," John
said. "I love these beats, but I have no idea
how to get them."

but no cigar for Eve . Seems the rough
rapping chick was in for more than what she could handle.
It is over between her and Teodorin Obiang ,
an African Prince due to his father, a dictator, for being allegedly
into cannibalism. Eve's friends are said
to have pressured her into leaving the 36-year-old- son of Equatorial
Guinean leader Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo after reports
of his eating habits by Severo Moto Nsa , the
leader of the government in exile. Now it is not clear just
what Nsa meant when he said on a Spanish radio
station, the following: "He has just devoured a police commissioner.
I say devoured, as this commissioner was buried without
this testicles and brain." Well, if that is not the nastiest
thing you have ever heard, you can trust Obnoxious
will keep you posted. 
Keyshia
Cole's camp is denying a report that she was arrested.
It was said that the Oakland singer was taken into custody and
was possibly detained, although no details were given on the nature
of the arrest. Cole's manger Imani "Manny"
Halley told reporters that nothing in the report was true.
Now Keyshia can get a little rowdy, but
Obnoxious was not able to find any arrest records.
