Well, Lil Scrappy lived up to his name again. The rapper that we have not heard form in a minute was arrested after getting into a fight with his sister's boyfriend in Hotlanta. The 24-year-old, bond Darryl Richardson was taken to the DeKalbCounty jail and released later on Sunday after posting $1,500 bond. DeKalb County Police Marcus Hodge told reporters that Scrappy was stabbed during the fight that took place after and argument and his injures were not serious. Police arrested the rapper and charged him with felony marijuana possession, felony sure of a weapon during a crime misdemeanor obstruction of police officers and misdemeanor battery. So he did a good damn job at living up to his name. I hope he will use this as an opportunity to try to make a comeback as an actual rapper.
Reggae and Dancehall DJ Bounty Killa was arrested for
profanity Friday after he allegedly used curse words during a performance in Jamaica at the annual Sumfest Festival's first night. The artist, whose real name is Rodney Pryce, was arrested shortly after dawn and charged with two counts of using indecent language and disorderly conduct. He was released on bond and ordered to appear in court later this month. He faces a maximum penalty for 30 day sin prison, or a fine. According to police, Pryce was the second-to-last act on the Sumfest Festival's first night, when fans booed him after he dissed other deejays in his lyrics. Pryce, police said, unleashed a series of expletives and left the stage in a huff. Jamaican laws prohibit entertainers form using profanity on stage.
Cops in Shreveport, LA. Said racism was not involved in the arrest of JeffreyWright and Josh Broling following a bar fights. Spokesman for Shreveport police Department told reporters that the chief has reviewed all in car audio and video and found the officer used "professionalism" in the arrests. Witnesses heard the arresting officers use foul language toward Wright including the "N" word and there's cell phone video of at least a portion of the confrontation. Other officers were reported to have heard the offensive tirade, Shreveport police said none have come forward. So far, the Department has not taken any action against the officers.
The mother of former Jena 6 defendant Mychal Bell was arrested for contempt of court Monday night and charged with failure to pay child support. Melissa Bell, 39, was being held at Louisiana' CalwellParishDetentionCenter. As you recall, her son was one of the six black teenagers charged with attempted murder and conspiracy in connection with the beating of a white classmate at JenaHigh School in 2006. Mychal Bell, the only one of the Jena 6 to have his case resolved, eventually pleaded guilty to battery in juvenile court and moved to Monroe. Mychal has also since and another brush with the law, when he was accused of shoplifting at a Pecanland Mall department store December 24, and shot himself in the chest December 29 as part of a self-described suicide attempt. However, Mychal Bell since has gone on to finish high school and is now in college on a football scholarship.
