Whitney Houston's album is due out this September, but she is also having a few legal issues and this time is it not with her troubled ex-husband Bobby Brown. Whitney filed a countersuit against her stepmother Barbara Houston for $1.6 million, claiming she owes her money for failing to make mortgage, tax, and condo fee payments for the Fort Lee, New Jersey home where she has lived since 1987. Barbara Houston's initial 2008 lawsuit accused the 45-year-old singer, who issued the condo mortgage loan; of improperly keeping proceeds form her husband John Houston's $1 million insurance police after his 2003 death. Whitney Houston's attorney said Barbara is not a poor, elderly widow and that Whitney Houston should not have to subsidize her living expenses. But Barbara Houston's lawyer said there was a verbal understanding that the condo belonged to his client. I have to get you the update on this matter while we are waiting to her the rest for this high anticipated album. Not so sure it is going to be a huge comeback as much as I think it will be a huge let down.
